ALEXANDER GOJKOVICH SR., 85, OF PHOENIXVILLE Alexander Gojkovich Sr., 85, husband of the late Justina (Laba) Gojkovich, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Born in Belegrade, Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Dmitrij amd Rosalia (Toth) Gojkovich. He worked as a crane operator in the open hearth of Phoenix Steel Corporation for 32 years, and later was head of maintenance at the Northern Chester County Technical School. Alex founded the Phoenixville Area Soccer Club in the 1960's, and was active for over 40 years. He loved to cook, and most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his daughter, Rose wife of Robert Mento of East Vincent, PA; daughter, Vera Gojkovich of Phoenixville, PA; son, Alexander Gojkovich, Jr. husband of Suzanne of North Coventry, PA; five grandchildren, Carla, Jason, Michael, Danielle and Alex III, and two great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and Kylie. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Bridge and Starr Streets, Phoenixville, PA, on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Mont Clare, PA. Relatives and Friends may call at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday morning from 10 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Phoenixville Area Soccer Club, P.O.
