"Lee" Davis
ABINGTON, PA - Dudley LeRoy Davis "Lee", 66, a 25 year resident of Rydal, PA and former Dallas TX resident, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. Lee graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1968 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and BS in Literature and a Master of Science in Administration/Operations Research from George Washington University (1976) and a Master of Mechanical Engineering/Ocean Engineering from Catholic University (1979).
Lee served in the US Navy as a pilot for 10 years and then joined American Airlines where he spent 9 years before joining Unisys. In the 14 years at Unisys, Lee traveled extensively to over 63 countries promoting international product applications. In 2002, Lee rejoined the United States Government and has been proudly serving his Country. In his last role he served as the Chief of Staff for the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office.
Born on June 2, 1946, in Salt Lake City, UT, he was the son of the late Dudley LeRoy and Mary Ellen (Haynes) Davis. Lee married Susan Farrell on December 20, 1968 in Milton, FL and she survives at home. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law; Susan Davis of Dallas, TX and James and Sandy Davis-Schiermeyer of San Juan Capistrano, CA, his four grandchildren: Ryan, Lauren, Olivia and Jaiden; his sister, Diana Morse of Bozeman, MT; and his brother; Larry Davis of Middleton, ID.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on April 6th, 2013 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY. Burial will be at Elizaville Methodist Cemetery, Elizaville, NY. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Friday, April 5th, 2013 from 5-7PM.
Memorial donations may be made in support of the Targeting DNA in Pancreatic Cancer at Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals.
