Eileen P. Hynes
POUGHKEEPSIE - Eileen P. Hynes, 75, a resident of Poughkeepsie for 17 years and formerly of Wappingers Falls and the Bronx, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on March 19, 1938, she was the daughter of James and Mary O'Connor Sheehy. She was employed by the Poughkeepsie Savings Bank until her retirement in 1998. Eileen was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie.
On June 1, 1957 at St. Luke's Church in the Bronx, Eileen married Patrick F. Hynes who predeceased her on February 20, 1997. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Booth and her husband Donald of Hudson, Anne LeRoy and Dwayne Nava of Staatsburg, Eileen Nittolo and her husband John of Hyde Park and Catherine DeSimone of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Booth, James LeRoy, Joseph LeRoy, Erica Cantone, Angela Nittolo, Marissa Nittolo and Christopher DeSimone; and her great-grandchildren, Gianna and Vincent Cantone.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery.
