Hartmann, Martha G.  
Martha G. Hartmann Pleasant Valley - Martha Gasparini Hartmann, 56, of Pleasant Valley, NY, passed away on April 29, 2015 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. She was born in New Britain, CT on December 19, 1958, the daughter of Joan and John Gasparini. On April 17 of 1982, she married Eric Hartmann and they were happily married for 33 years. Martha worked as graphic designer then became a homemaker after the birth of Eric and Martha's three daughters. She was an avid skier her whole life, and she loved playing tennis as well as swimming. She also very much enjoyed cooking, art and traveling. Martha is survived by her husband, Eric, her daughter Jessica Hartmann and her son in law Ashton Grandy, her daughter Kimberley Hartmann and her daughter Stephanie Hartmann. She is also survived by her father John Gasparini, her brother John Gasparini, her brother Paul Gasparini and sister in law Jeannine Gasparini. Her mother in law Marion Hartmann and father in law John Hartmann, as well as her brother in law John Hartmann Jr., sister in law Lisa Hartmann, sister in law Nancy Barron, brother in law Mark Barron, sister in law Jodi Hartmann and brother in law Thomas Hartmann, as well as 10 nieces and nephews survive her. Her mother, Joan Gasparini predeceased Martha. Visitation will be Monday, May 4, 2015 5-8PM, at the William G Miller and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie NY 12603 and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10AM in St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie NY. Hickey, Thomas  
Thomas Hickey Bakersfield, VT - Thomas Hickey, age 83, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his home in East Bakersfield, VT. He was born January 19, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late William & Margaret (McDonald) Hickey. Tom grew up in New York and married Betty Buchanan on December 6, 1969. He worked as an engineer for IBM for most of his career. In 1976 Tom and Betty moved to Vermont and settled in East Bakersfield. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, playing golf and taking care of his yard. He also enjoyed working with his tractor, especially snow blowing. Tom had a passion for sports, especially football, and in his younger years he would referee high school athletics. He is survived by his sister, Catherine H G Boyd of Orleans, MA; 2 nieces, Catherine Gallagher of Port Orange, FL and Joy Gallagher of Ulster Park, NY; 2 nephews, John Gallagher of Danbury, CT and Tom Gallagher of Milton, NY; a step-grandson, Michael Cochran of Warwick, NY and close friend, Bernie Loso and his wife Ksenija of East Bakersfield. Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife, Betty Hickey and step-son, Thomas Gregory Cochran. In keeping with Tom's wishes he will be cremated and laid to rest with his wife Betty in St. Mary's Cemetery in Marlboro, NY. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00AM at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro with a reception to follow. Hileman, Robert  
Robert E. Hileman, PhD Union Vale - Robert E. Hileman, PhD., 85, an area resident over 50 years and previously of Minnesota and Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. Born in Bloomsburg, PA on August 16, 1929, he was the son of Loren and Emma Broadt Hileman. Robert was a graduate of Bloomsburg Teacher College, Rutgers University and the University of Minnesota where he received his PhD. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert was a chemist and group leader in charge of fuel research for Texaco Research Center in Beacon for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the East Fishkill Republican Club, Elks Club in Middletown, and was on the Board of Directors of Unistar Federal Credit Union (Texaco Federal Credit Union). Robert is survived by his wife Marjorie Minard Hileman; his children, Lynn Durazo of Colorado, Judy Hileman of Seneca Falls, Karen Hileman-Rizzo of Hughsonville, and Marcia Pippel of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kristy Hileman, Katie Hileman, Eric Gummerson, Marc Gummerson, William "Billy" Rizzo, Jessica Vickers and Matthew Vickers; his three great-grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Winnie Hileman on October 20, 2000 and his son, William Hileman on May 6, 1999. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery with military honors. Patricia Houlihan Surprise, AZ - Patricia Monica Houlihan, 65, a resident of Surprise, AZ for four years and formerly of Highland, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Banner Hospice at Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, AZ. Born in Brooklyn on March 15, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Gertrude Houlihan. Patricia is survived by daughter, Nicole Haren of Surprise, AZ; her grandchildren, Anthony, Matthew, Layla and Sarah; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Cardella and his wife Donna of Pleasant Valley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Thomas Letizia; and her sister, Barbara Cardella. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am at St. Denis Church 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
