Gizzarelli, Louis J.  
Louis J. Gizzarelli Beacon - Louis J. Gizzarelli, a lifelong resident of Beacon, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh after a short illness. He was 96 years old. Louis was born on July 24, 1918 in Beacon to the late Luigi and Angelina Daddario Gizzarelli. He was one of the founders and co-owners of Mari-Anne Bag Corp. in New Windsor. Louis proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Trinity Council #445, St. Rocco's Society and VFW Post 666 in Beacon. Louis will be remembered as a devoted son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He touched the lives of so many people with his kindness, patience, positive attitude and sense of humor. In his younger years, he loved to hunt, fish, play cards and bocci. He was very content with the simple things in life. Louis is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ann Parisi Gizzarelli; his son, Robert Gizzarelli and his wife, Linda of Cornwall-on-Hudson; his daughter, Lynn White and her husband, Alan of Middletown; his five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Nicholas and his sisters, Julia and Mary. The family will receive their friends on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Members of the Knights of Columbus will hold services at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, Beacon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice. McArtin, James  
James R. McArtin BEEKMAN - James R. "Jim" McArtin, 62, an area resident for 15 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived in Peekskill and Yonkers. Born in Scotland on July 20, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Elsie (Parker) McArtin. On June 26, 1982 in Washington, DC, Jim married Sharon Abarno McArtin who survives at home. Jim enjoyed classic cars and watching car races, and owned and operated Frantic Auto Repair in Tarrytown for many years until his retirement. An avid NY Yankees fan, he had coached little league in Peekskill and Beekman while his sons were growing up. In addition to his loving wife of 32 years, Jim is survived by his sons, Alexander McArtin of Poughquag and Andrew McArtin and his wife Carla of Wappingers Falls; his brother, Doug McArtin and his wife Charlene of Yonkers; his nephew, Brian McArtin and his wife Theresa of Wappingers Falls; and his great-nephew, Charlie McArtin. There will be a Celebration of Jim's Life at a later date. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org ). McCall, Carol  
Carol Ann McCall Poughkeepsie - Carol Ann McCall, 65, of Poughkeepsie passed away on April 28, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born on June 16, 1949 in Newburgh, NY to the late Giles Greenfield and Susie Williams. Carol graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and was a CNA at the Hyde Park Nursing Home. She was a great woman of compassion with a big heart, always with open arms ready to take in her loving family. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children; Novettia McCall, Natisha McCall, Columbus McCall, and Joseph Greenfield all of Poughkeepsie, grandchildren; Yah'Nae Sanders, Ryan Greenfield, and Devin Greenfield, a brother; Nathaniel Williams, nieces and nephews; Annette Scott, Linden Brown, Alypia Williams, and Ayanna Booker, great nephews; Arnelle Hogan, Aamir Thomas, Zyiheir Mc Clinton, and Curtis K. Shell, and a host of great nieces, cousins, and friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents, siblings; Mary Hogan, William Greenfield, Jessie Greenfield, Eugene Greenfield and Annette Greenfield. O'Hanlon, Eola  
Eola B. O'Hanlon Dover Plains - Eola B. O'Hanlon, 84, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her home in Dover Plains, NY. Mrs. O'Hanlon was a supervisor at Wassaic Developmental Center retiring in 1992. Born on September 12, 1930 in Dannemora, NY she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Fern (Brusseau) Baker. Mrs. O'Hanlon was a graduate of Ellenburgh Central Schools class of 1948. She proudly served in the US Air Force as a 2nd Class Airman during the Korean Conflict. On June 30, 1955 in New York City she married Patrick O'Hanlon who predeceased her on August 1, 2003. Mrs. O'Hanlon is survived by a son, Daniel O'Hanlon and his wife, Susan, of Red Hook, NY; a daughter, Kimie Cunningham and her husband, Gary, of Sharon, CT and four sisters, Alice Halley of Malone, NY, Irene Jarvis of Chateaugay, NY, Jean Gordon-Smith of Maryville, IL and Leona McRoberts of Tuscon, AZ. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael Kalb and his wife, Eileen and Patrick Kalb and two great-grandchildren, Julianna and David Kalb. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. O'Hanlon was predeceased by six brothers, Robert, Lloyd, Richard, James, Leo and Archie Baker and two sisters, Shirley Perry and Blanche Doyle. Hileman, Robert  
Robert E. Hileman, PhD Union Vale - Robert E. Hileman, PhD., 85, an area resident over 50 years and previously of Minnesota and Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. Born in Bloomsburg, PA on August 16, 1929, he was the son of Loren and Emma Broadt Hileman. Robert was a graduate of Bloomsburg Teacher College, Rutgers University and the University of Minnesota where he received his PhD. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert was a chemist and group leader in charge of fuel research for Texaco Research Center in Beacon for over 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the East Fishkill Republican Club, Elks Club in Middletown, and was on the Board of Directors of Unistar Federal Credit Union (Texaco Federal Credit Union). Robert is survived by his wife Marjorie Minard Hileman; his children, Lynn Durazo of Colorado, Judy Hileman of Seneca Falls, Karen Hileman-Rizzo of Hughsonville, and Marcia Pippel of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kristy Hileman, Katie Hileman, Eric Gummerson, Marc Gummerson, William "Billy" Rizzo, Jessica Vickers and Matthew Vickers; his three great-grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Winnie Hileman on October 20, 2000 and his son, William Hileman on May 6, 1999. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery with military honors. Kilgore-Williams, Doralene  
Doralene Kilgore-Williams Poughkeepsie - Doralene Kilgore-Williams, age 55, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2015. Born December 27, 1959, in Beacon, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Ladanas (Dan) Kilgore and Hermie R. Bundy. Doralene attended and graduated from Beacon City School District and was employed by New York State of Corrections until illness forced her to retire in 2012. Doralene (fondly called "Dee"), accepted the Lord as her Personal Savior at an early age and has been serving Him faithfully at the Springfield Baptist Church in Beacon where she served on various ministries including Choir Member, SBC Design & Decor, Wedding Planner, Ushers Ministry, Deaconess, and her greatest love as a Choir Director. She also enjoyed cooking and was a baking specialist. She leaves to cherish the love of her life, husband Charles Williams of Poughkeepsie, two sons Charles Williams Jr. of Durham, NC, Randy Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY, one daughter, Aretha Thompson (Ross) of Beacon, NY; three grandchildren, John Ross Thompson, Rayna Thompson, and Yazmin Williams; a host of cousins, nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Doralene was predeceased by a brother, Dan and sister, Darlene. Mrs. Williams will lay in repose 10 a.m.-12 Noon Saturday, May, 2, 2015 at Springfield Baptist Church, 8 Mattie Cooper Square, Beacon, NY. Rev. Ronald O. Perry will officiate. Matteini, Raoul  
Raoul J. Matteini Formerly of Plesant Valley and Monguap Valley - Raoul "Ralph" J. Matteini of Sanford, Florida, passed away at his residence in Sanford, FL surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 26, 2015. He was 74. He was the son of Raoul and Gizella Slimack Matteini and was born on December 29, 1940 in Queens, NY. Raoul was a retired police officer for the Town of Poughkeepsie and was an amateur radio operator whose call letters were WA2HSM. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Dept. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of Swinging Bridge Water Ski Assn. of Mongaup Valley, NY. He was also an avid baseball fan, always cheering for the Atlanta Braves. Raoul is survived by his wife, Carol A. Scheid Matteini at home; 2 sons, Russell J. Matteini and his wife Michele of Lake Mary, Fl and Raoul J. Matteini II of Sanford, Fl.; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Hoffman and her husband Luis of Greenwood Lake, NY; special cousins, Dr. Martin Salamack and wife Deborah of Middletown, NY; a granddaughter, Sierra Rose Matteini; nephews, Louis and Austin Hoffman and special friends, Irwin Litt of Monticello, NY; Barry and Millie Sterner of Sanford, FL and Guy and Linda Jenkins of Roper. NC. He was predeceased by his son, Robert J. Matteini in 2004. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at Stewart Cemetery, Kauneonga Lake, NY, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 4:00 pm. Rev.
