Frances Ellen Bomba

Dickson, TN - Frances Ellen Bomba, 92, most recently of Dickson, TN and a former longtime Hyde Park resident, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Horizon Medical Center, Dickson, TN.

Born January 6, 1921 in Hyde Park, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Hornak Klima.

Fran proudly served in the United States Women's Army Corps during World War II as a Physical Therapy Technician.

She worked for Hyde Park Central School District as a cafeteria worker and was a communicant of St. Peter's Church, Hyde Park.

In October, 1974 in Hyde Park, she married Frank J. Bomba, in Hyde Park. Mr. Bomba survives in Dickson, TN.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Stephen Wasney and wife, Jo, of Temple, TX, John Wasney and wife, Diane, of Willow Spring, NC, Thomas Wasney and Patricia Shaughnessy of Poughkeepsie, and Jerry Bomba and wife, Pat, of Dickson, TN; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Fran was predeceased by her son, Frank "Skip" Bomba; three sisters, Mary Bena, Anna Zeleznik, and Agnes Kipp; and two brothers, John Klima, Jr. and Joseph Klima.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. James A. Garisto at 10AM on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of Saint Peter's Parish, 99 Inwood Ave., Poughkeepsie.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Fran's family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of Saint Peter's Parish, 6 Father Cody Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
