CLINTON CORNERS - James T. McDonnell of Clinton Corners, age 65, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Pleasant Valley.
James was born September 6, 1947 in Manhattan,NY, the son of the late Martin and Catherine McGrath McDonnell.
James began his career at IBM where he worked as a financial planner for 25 years. He then became an account at Saint Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie for 19 years until his retirement in 2013.
On January 20, 1967 at St. John's Church in The Bronx he married Cynthia Ewing. Mrs. McDonnell survives at home.
He was the devoted husband of his wife Cynthia of 45 years; and loving father to his three daughters and their husbands; Debbie and John Pavlak, Lauren and Chris Marasca and Kimberly and Andre Mannain. He was adored by his three grandchildren; Tayler Brown Mannain, Kaden Mannain and Gabrielle Mannain.
He also is survived by his brother Martin McDonnell; two sisters, Ronnie Barron and Terry O'Sullivan; brother-in-law Jack O'Sullivan and several nieces and nephews.
James enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hunns Lake Road, Bangall NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectively requests mass cards be given in James memory.
