HOBE SOUND, FL - John L. Michaloski, 84, of Hobe Sound, FL, died August 28, 2013, at the Palm City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palm City, FL.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a resident of Hobe Sound for 32 years coming from, Stanfordville, NY. He graduated from Arlington High School, Poughkeepsie, NY.
He served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the USS Dayton.
Prior to retirement he was a parts manager for Rapco Auto and Trailer Connections in Stuart, FL for 31 years, and prior to that was the payroll manager for Schatz Federal Bearing in Poughkeepsie for 30 years.
He attended St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound and was a member of American Legion Post 271, Tequesta, FL.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dolores Michaloski of Hobe Sound; daughters Lois Eckhardt and her husband Timothy, Linda Routhier and her husband Gordon both of Hobe Sound; Sons Joseph Michaloski and his wife Tammi of Hobe Sound and Robert Michaloski and his wife Beth of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother, Joseph Burnett Michaloski and his wife Marge of La Grangeville, NY; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Michaloski.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6 -8PM on Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel, Stuart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 AM on September 3, 2012 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL with military honors provided by the US Navy.
