Dover Plains, NY - Richard W. "Skip" Deuell, 77, of Dover Plains, NY formerly of Millbrook, NY died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Deuell was a truck driver for Tri-Wall Container Corporation in Wassaic, NY for 19 years and later worked for Yellow Freight in Maybrook, NY before retiring in 1998.

Born on January 21, 1935 in Newburgh, NY he was the son of the late Percy Waldo and Arlene (MacGhee) Deuell. On September 5, 1953 in Smithfield, NY he married Mary Kilmer who survives at home. Mr. Deuell was a member of the Amenia Masonic Lodge and the Old Yankee Street Rods and Classic Cruisers of Great Barrington, MA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rick Deuell and his wife, Linda, of Laramie, WY and Michael Deuell and his wife, Annie, of Pocatello, ID; two daughters, Debbie Ruppel and her husband, Michael, of Millerton, NY and Mary Ellen Matteo and her husband, Joseph, of Millerton, NY, and seven grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, and Amelia Deuell, Michael and Kaitlin Ruppel, and Christopher and Matthew Matteo.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Hufcut Funeral Home; 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
