PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - Robert J. Veith, 75, of Port St. Lucie, FL died Nov. 30, 2012 at home surrounded by his family, after a long bout with cancer.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, he lived in Port St. Lucie for nine years, coming from Pleasant Valley, NY.

Before retirement, he owned Royal Crane, Inc. formerly Royal Neon Sign Co. in Pleasant Valley.

Mr. Veith was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Eleanor M. Veith of Port St. Lucie; son, Russell K. Veith and his wife Maria of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Cynthia K. DeTurris and her husband Frank of Bluffton, SC; and five grandchildren, Andrew Veith, Chelsea Paige Veith and Ryleigh Alexis Veith, all of Port St. Lucie and Francis Louis "Trey" DeTurris and Robert Cole DeTurris, both of Bluffton, SC. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vanessa K. Veith.
