PAWLING - Ronald H. Kaine, 58, an area resident since 1983 and formerly of Watertown, NY died at home on Monday, January 6, 2014.
Born in Watertown, NY on September 8, 1955, he was the son of James A. Kaine Jr. and Eleanor V. Kaine. Ronnie was employed by the railroad industry for 36 years until his retirement in February 2013 as a conductor with Metro North. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but more than anything he loved spending time with his children. He was always very involved in all of their sporting activities from coaching little league to attending every football game.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Kathleen Kaine of Pawling; his children, Stacie Macina of Wingdale, Ronald H. Kaine II of Pawling, Carisa Smith of Wappingers Falls, Daniel Kaine of Port Orange, FL and Christopher Mayes of Pawling; his grandchildren, Alexis Macina, Alyssa and Mason Kaine, Liam Smith; his brother, David Kaine of Windsor; and his dog Sorry. He was predeceased by both his parents and his brother James A. Kaine III.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the Elks Lodge
