HERRIMAN, UT - Vito B. Gasparro, Sr., 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 20th at his home in Utah where he lived for the past nineteen years. He was born on Jan 17, 1923 in Poughkeepsie, NY to George and Nunziata Gasparro. Vito was owner of Gasparro's Bakery in Poughkeepsie. He was a proud WWII Veteran and served in the South Pacific. He was a loving and devoted family man.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 67 years, Margaret (Werner) Gasparro and his daughters and sons: Kathleen MacBrien and husband Wayne of Hyde Park, NY, Nancy Kathmann of Hyde Park, NY, Antoinette Guinan and husband Michael of Poughkeepsie, George and wife Maryann of Utah, Frederick and wife Roni of California and Vito, Jr. and wife Elaine of Utah.

He is survived by 15 grandchildren and great granddaughters, along Many nieces and nephews and their children. The family would like to thank Hearts of hospice, they are truly angels on earth.

Calling hours will be held Monday, April 1st from 4pm-7pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of the funeral home on Vassar Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 2nd at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie followed by entombment in Poughkeepsie Rural Mausoleum.
