Alvin E. Lotts, Jr.

POUGHKEEPSIE - Alvin E. Lotts Jr., 37, of Poughkeepsie, NY, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, the former Roxanne Douglas. The couple married on June 22, 2008.

Born April 11, 1973 in Port Jervis New York he is the son of Marcia Lewis of Liverpool NY and Alvin Lotts Sr. of Fredonia, NY.

He was a graduate of Liberty High School, and continued his education at Ohio Auto Diesel Technical School in Ohio.

Following his college, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.

Alvin dedicated most of his life to music, paralyzed veterans group and first and foremost his family.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, son and friend.

Also surviving are his maternal grandmother Isilda Lowe and his paternal grandmother Florine Mungin, step mother Sherron Lotts of South Carolina, sons Darnell Lotts of Germany, Promise Barr of Liverpool, Darrell Ray Douglas of Texas, and Michael Douglas of Amsterdam; his daughters; Nicole and Rebecca Douglas of Poughkeepsie; his brother Creo Lotts of South Carolina; sisters Ashley Lotts of Fredonia, Keanah Patterson, and Amalia (Jim) Swan of Liverpool; nieces Luisa and Gabriella Swan, and Alaysia Patterson of Liverpool, nephews, Nicholas Swan and Kendar Patterson of Liverpool and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends may call Saturday from 9-12 am at the Wm. G. Miller and Son Funeral Home Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, New York with a funeral service following at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery with full Military Honors. Chaplain Hershberger will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the HUDSON VALLEY WHEELCHAIR CRUSADERS, in care of Voluntary Services Castle Point VAMC, Castle Point NY 12511.

I'm so sorry for your lost Roxanne. Alvin was a very special person. As somebody mention before, is very painful lets somebody go for ever, but is beautiful when the times that you spend with that person are keeping in your heart for ever helping to find comfort and peace.
