SALT POINT - Annetta (Ann) M. DeBonis, 81, of Salt Point, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Victory Lake Nursing Center, Hyde Park. Born in the Town of Northeast on September 5, 1931, she was the daughter of Santa and Ada Silvernail Finkle.
Ann married her beloved husband, Albert, on November 29, 1953 in St. Joseph's Church, Millbrook, New York.
She was a graduate of Vassar Hospital School of Nursing and began her career at Vassar Hospital in Obstetrics/Gynecology and later became employed at the former Dutchess County Infirmary in Millbrook where she worked as Night Supervisor of the facility. Ann later took the position of Inservice Coordinator at the Facilty and worked in that position until she retired in 1992.
In addition to her husband Albert, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail and Michael Richmond of Medusa,NY; her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Barbara DeBonis of Salt Point, NY; her 5 grandchildren, Anthony DeBonis, Salt Point, NY, Christopher DeBonis, Salt Point, NY, Lauren Richmond, Boston, MA, Michael Richmond, Albany, NY, Courtney Richmond, Albany, NY, Sister-in-law, Francis DeBonis of Millbrook, NY, Brother-in- law Anthony DeBonis, Millbrook, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Barton Miller.
Those who remember Ann will remember someone who loved to sing and dance. In her younger years, Ann sang with many local Big Bands. Ann took great pride in her nursing skills and was the consummate professional. Ann took great strength from her faith. Her greatest source of pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and loved her husband dearly. Until the end, he was her "darling Daddy".
Visitation will be Friday, June 7 from 4-7 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11 am from Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church, 1592 Hollow Rd., Clinton Corners. Pastor David Way will preside over services. Interment will follow in Salt Point Cemetery.
