POUGHKEEPSIE - Arthur Bramble was born to Mary Beatrice Brown

and George Bramble on September 20, 1929, in the village of Harris Hill, Montserrat British West Indies. Arthur departed to his resting place on January 10, 2013. His formative years was spent in Harris Hill, but his adolescent years, he migrated to Antigua British West Indies with his other siblings, Violet, Helen and Edward (all predeceased), to join his mother Mary Beatrice and Step-Father Edward Brown (all pre deceased), in Freetown Village Antigua to seek a better life. His mother and step-father was a tower of strength and kept a keen eye on his upbringing.

Arthur had many life-long goals and aspirations and began to pursuit them. He worked for the Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers, Poughkeepsie for over thirty years. He was very passionate and skillful.

When his retirement came, he was excited, he started to travel to various places made numerous visits to Antigua, Montreal, Ottawa and other places during the summer months, he was living out his goals.

Arthur was proud of his accomplishments, his idea of sight- seeing, would be to the apple orchards where we labored diligently, to help in the support of his mother and step-father, and other relatives also benefited from his success and to remind us of our beginnings. He showed us structural buildings (some were already abandon), along with other areas around the city and rural areas.

Arthur met and married the love of his Shirley Temple . To all who knew them, saw a relationship that was pure love, together the cultivated their marriage, they did everything together, their union which lasted thirty six years.

Arthur leaves behind his wife Shirley T. Bramble, Son Conroy two grand - children Stouffer and Kimaya Bramble, Two great-great- grand -children Keira and Manley Bramble. Ten nieces and nephews, uncle and father to First Lady Rozlind Fergus (Pastor Thomas Fergus) Montreal Canada; Lesroy Brown (Pamela Brown) Vancouver, Canada; Leo Knight (Christine St. Pierre) Montreal Canada; Mrs. Heather Curtis; Mrs. Daisy Knight, and Mrs. Cecelia Reid (Dominique Reid) all of Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Jennifer Parson Keitt, Atlanta Georgia; Sylvester Parson -Detroit; Marvin Parson, Connecticut; Allrick Parson Toronto Canada; Yvette Smith, Bubba Matthews, Alexander Harrison, Anthony Poughkeepsie New York; Nathaniel Griffin, Wayne Ward, Harrison of Florida USA. Great nieces and nephews Mrs. Cheryl Scott (Mark Scott) Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Cynthia Brown Virginia U.S.A. ; Natasha Knight Montreal Canada; Keane Curtis, Sammie Curtis (Alexander ) Natalie Knight-Thompson, Shaheed Foxx, Keane Curtis Jr, (Poughkeepsie) Morgan, Samanth, Caleb and Naomi Keitt, Atlanta; Taylor and Marcus Brown Vancouver; and the late Condace Curtis Poughkeepsie New York. Six great-great-nieces and nephews. Brothers and Sister-In-Laws to Mrs. Judy Smith (Lester); Betty May Chateram, McArthur Hunter, Samuel Hunter, Roosevelt Hunter, all of Florida USA; Numerous cousins, relatives, and friends in Canada. Connecticut, Florida, England, Montserrat, St. Thomas, US Virgin Island, and U.S.A.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 from 9:00-10:00am at Wm. G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Rev. Thomas Fergus will preside over a service at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Lawn Crypt.
