Candace' Jocelyn Curtis (Candy)

Fishkill, NY - Candace' Jocelyn Curtis (Candy) was born on December 1, 1980 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Sammie and Heather Curtis. She began her education in the City of Poughkeepsie rehabiliation programs and continued through City of Poughkeepsie schools.Candace' was a born fighter. Never allowing her disabilities to hinder her,she was even named the March of dimes spokesperson in May of 1984. She was always the life of the party. You could usually find her singing and dancing ( even if she didn't know the words). Her personality lit up the room and to assure she gave it just a little more sparkle, she would don her signature gold eye shadow. Candace' loved to travel and spend time with her family. Her nieces and nephews were all affectionately known as her "babies". She loved watching sports, Jerry Springer, and surfing the chat lines on the internet usually while enjoying a Pepsi"Soder". She loved to meet new people. She was even afforded the opportunity to meet and have tea and crumpets with Andrew Cuomo former Governor of New York. Candace's colorful language will be missed by all who knew her. In prime Candace' fashion, each time we hear"our song"or fo to grab our"pop-a-books" and hit the road we'll say"Deuces" to our daughter, Auntie, Cousin, Niece and Friend and we love you, Sissy!Candace' laves to cherish her memories, her mother Heather Curtis and father Sammie Curtis Sr(Mary) both of Poughkeepsie,NY. She leaves nine siblings, Shawna Faniel of Montgomery, Alabama, Kinia Parker (Curtis), Towander Coleman both of Midway, alabama, Keane Curtis, Kentoria Curtis, Kenny Morano (Tina), Qiana Bennett (David), Sammie CurtisJr.(Alexandria), and Courtland Curtis all of Poughkeepsie, NY. Candace' leaves behind five special siblings, Tinnessa Denny, Sparkle Kenner, Tasha Knight, of Poughkeepsie and Royalty Davis of Brooklyn, NY.
