Carmine A. Curcio

Poughkeepsie - Carmine A. Curcio 39, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie passed away on September 24, 2012 at Putnam Hospital in Carmel.

Carmine graduated from Roosevelt Highschool and Dutchess Community College. He was a Teaching Assistant for the Astor of Rhinebeck. He loved his work. It truely was a passion and ministry to him. He was an active volunteer for the City of Poughkeepsie Little League. He was a lifelong avid New York Yankee and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was also an avid deer hunter.

Carmine was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 16, 1973. He was the beloved son of Albino and Rosa Perri Curcio. on June 5, 2005 in Hyde Park, NY he married his loving wife Shelby. Shelby survives at home along with their son Jordan. Additional survivors include his parents, Albino and Rosa Curcio of Poughkeepsie; his mother and father in-law Doug and Lori Outwater of Wappingers, Falls; his maternal grandmother Clelia Perri in Italy and several aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law sisters-in-law, nieces,nephews and many friends.

Carmine was predeceased by his sister Josephine Curcio and his grandparents; Josephine and Carmine Curcio, and Francesco Perri.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Calling hours are Friday September 28th from 4 to 9 pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of funeral home on Vassar St.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 29th 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie where Carmine was a parishioner.

Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery Poughkeepsie.
