MILLBROOK - Daniel R. Quirk, 26, resident of Millbrook, New York passed due to an act of God into eternal life on July 9, 2013 surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. He was born in Mount Kisco, New York on September 18, 1986 to William and Renee Rohrig Quirk. Danny attended Millbrook High School where he met his best friend and love of his life Colleen Carey Quirk who resides at home. Danny married Colleen on April 6, 2013. No matter what path God lead them down they always found their way back to each other. The love that Danny and Colleen have for each other will last forever. When they meet again in Heaven, they will be able to share the long lasting marriage that was tragically cut too short.

Danny loved life and lived it to the fullest by spending time making his family and friends laugh as well as playing golf, football, baseball and being the captain of the family boat "The Pirate Lady". He also loved spending lots of time with his dog Lenna and watching the New York Yankees and Jets. Danny attended Millbrook High School and Mount Ida College where he was the captain of the football team making all conference and all state wide receiver scoring more than 50 touchdowns.

Danny is survived by his parents, William and Renee Quirk; mother and father-in-law, Norman and Christine Carey; brother Billy Quirk; sister Kristen Braia; grandparents Frank and Joan Quirk; sisters-in-law, Maureen Carey-Tompkins, Patricia Carey, Lindsey Quirk; and brothers-in-law, Dan Braia, Daniel Carey, Brian Carey, Steven Tompkins and Joe Troy. Daniel "Uncle OOT" is also survived by his many nieces and nephews whom he loved so much; Ariana, Connor, Luke, Alaina, Caelan, Molly, Landon, Jack, Braeden and William. Daniel is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. Daniel is predeceased by his grandparents Irene and Robert Rohrig, Aunt Karen Rohrig, niece Payton Carey-Tompkins, and best friend Steven Kearins.

Calling hours will held on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 3pm-8pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook, NY 12545. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at 11am at St. Joseph Church, North Avenue, Millbrook, NY 12545 with Father O'Connor as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millbrook.
