PLEASANT VALLEY - Donna M. Starr, 51, wife of Glenn Starr, residents of Pleasant Valley, NY died on Thursday, May 09, 2013 at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY after a long battle with cancer.

Donna was born November 29, 1961 in Beacon, NY to Daniel and Eleanor (Fenimore) Perilli.

Mrs. Starr graduated from John Jay High School and received her Masters Degree from S.U.N.Y at New Paltz in Mathematics. She didn't begin teaching right away. Donna was a waitress for years so that she could be home with their three boys, Scott, Chris and Kurt. In 2000 she began to fulfill her dream as a math teacher in the Wappingers Central School District up until this past September.

Mrs. Starr was an avid reader, enjoyed Sudoku and loved baking special cakes for birthdays and other occasions. In recent years Donna and Glenn have enjoyed many motorcycle trips together.

Glenn and Donna were married on November 21, 1987 at the Patterson Presbyterian Church in Patterson, NY.

In addition to her husband and her parents Donna is survived by three sons, Scott E. and his fiance Andie Moravec, Christopher (Chris) M. and Kurt D, her stepdaughter, Staff Sgt. Jessica L. Starr, granddaughter Brianna M. Simmons, two brothers, Daniel V. Perilli and his wife, Nancy (Heim) of Syracuse, NY, David T. Perilli and his wife, Diane (Zappi) of Cortlandt Manor, NY, plus several nieces and nephews, Shannon, Kristin, Steven, Darren and Jenna.

Donna was blessed by her dear friends that have been with her every step of the way.

Visitation will be Monday, May 13 from 2-7 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 pm during the visitation with Rev. David Frost presiding. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
