Evelyn Pavelock Obituary
FISHKILL - Evelyn Gertrude Pavelock, of Fishkill, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 87.
Born on December 27, 1923 in Cold Spring to the late William and Bessie Tompkins Odell.
Evelyn grew up in Cold Spring along with her sister , Hilda Komornik ( William).
On August 14, 1942 she married Stanley Andrew Pavelock who predeceased her on September 21, 1967.
She worked at Craighouse for many years as a nurse's aide.
She is survived by her loving children Pamela Owen, Eileen Hoey and Shirley Stanulewich and her husband Steven, Cherished grandchildren Laurie Owen, Roger Owen, Christopher Manzoeillo, Jody Gurnee, Justin Hoey and Charles Stanulewich. Dear Great grandchildren Heather, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, Gabriella, Brianna, Victor ,Carmine, Dylan and Valerie.
Mom may be gone from this life but her fierce independence burns in her children and the generations she leaves to cherish her memory.
She was predeceased by her son in Law John Hoey.
Friends may call on Tuesday April 19, 2011 from 4-7pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home 1028 Main Street, Fishkill.
A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 10am at St. Joachim Cemetery. Interment to follow in St. Joachim Cemetery.

Dear Pam, Eileen & Shirley,
Mom and I are so saddened by the passing of your Mom. Our Moms have been good friends for many, many years. Your Mom was such a wonderful lady and so concerned about my Mom when my Dad passed away three years ago. After my Mom moved down to be with me in KY, your Mom would call and they always had nice conversations. I even would chat with her. The last time we called your mother seemed well, so we were shocked to hear the news. Know that we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dear Eileen and family, mere words cannot express what you're going through. Your mother was a very special lady and I will always have fond memories of her and our days in Beacon growing up under her watchful eye. I'm sure she'll still be looking out for all of you just from a higher window. My heart and prayers are with all of you.

Evelyn was the best neighbor my husband and I have ever had. She took such an interest in our lives from the minute we moved in and was such a blessing to us. Whether it was brushing the snow off of my car when I was in the house with a little baby or stopping by just to say hello, she was an amazing woman that I will never forget. Our prayers go out to her family.
