George Te

New Hamburg - George Ang Te of New Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the age of 67.

The son of Ang Giok Tin and Vicente Te Tioung, he was born April 9, 1946 in Manila, Philippines. He attended the Saint Stephen's School in Quezon City; then studied at the University of the Philippines, the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he received a doctorate in zoology for taxonomical study.

He and his wife, Ann Lane Meader, moved to the Hudson Valley where he worked for IBM, East Fishkill as a programmer. He retired in 2011.

George is survived by his wife, Ann, and daughter, Kimberley. He has two sisters, Gloria Te Hsieh and her husband, Christopher, and their sons, Jonathan and Jeremy and Grace A. Te who preceded him in death in 2001 and her son, Vicente.

The family would like to thank the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center for their care and kindness over the past seven years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Saint Nicholas on the Hudson, 37 Point Street in New Hamburg, New York.
