HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Gloria Elena Santiago died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
She was born to Jose and Jeanette (Lopez) Santiago on October 28, 1985. She lived in the Bronx until the age of 9, directly next door to her Grandma Blue. Since then, Gloria has lived at home in East Fishkill with her family.
Gloria was a parishioner at St. Mary, Mother of the Church where she attended grammar school. She was a 2003 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie. Gloria obtained both her Bachelor and Master Degrees in School Psychology from Marist College. She was actively seeking enrollment into a Doctoral program. A member of the New York State School Psychologist Association, Gloria had worked for both the Ellenville and Poughkeepsie School Districts.
Gloria was an avid NY Yankees fan. Her favorite color was purple and she loved to decorate, especially for family parties and holidays.
Gloria went to be with the Lord and joins her beloved Grandma & Grandpa Queens, Grandma & Grandpa Blue, Uncle Ralph and numerous other loved ones. She is survived by her parents, Jose Ramon & Jeannette Santiago; her two sisters, Rosanna Laura & Sarai Elis; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gloria has given her family 27 glorious years for which we thank the Lord.
