POUGHKEEPSIE - Johanna M. Troccia 90, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie passed away on February 14, 2012 at The Pines of Poughkeepsie Nursing Home. Mrs. Troccia was an accomplished artist who enjoyed theater and opera. She graduated from Texas Christian University.
She was born in Fort Worth Texas on March 16, 1921. Mrs. Troccia was the daughter of Carl and Erica ZurNedden Wollner. On October 21, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas she married Edmond L. Troccia. Mr. Troccia, a lifelong Poughkeepsie resident, predeceased her on April 18, 2001.
Survivors include her sons; Charles B. Troccia Sr. of Dalton, Mass, Edmond C. Troccia of Lee, Mass, and her grandsons; Derek M. and Charles B. Troccia Jr. both of Keene, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her sisters; Helen Wollner and Patricia Levasheff, and her brothers; Charles and Otto Wollner.
Calling hours are Monday, February 20th 7 to 9 pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of funeral home on Vasssar St.
Funeral Service will take place Tuesday, February 21st 10:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church 22 Carrol St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
