Kevin R. McElduff

Beacon - Kevin Robert McElduff, 62, a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away peacefully in his home on March 24, 2013. Kevin battled colon cancer seven years ago and liver cancer for this past year. Over the last few weeks, Kevin was lovingly cared for by his courageous wife, Lynn, his extensive family, many friends and Hospice.

Kevin married Lynn Bartenstein on September 16, 1972. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last fall. Together they vacationed on Long Beach Island and camped with family and friends. Kevin was an avid collector of unique and unusual things. As a young man he owned many cars, including reproductions of Daytona 500 pace cars. He loved everything Irish and McElduff. He collected pictures, news clippings and family memorabilia. He had bumper stickers made to share and show his Irish pride. He was a dedicated Red Sox fan in Yankee territory. He loved to organize parties and events and he could singlehandedly fill St. Rocco's Italian Night with tables full of Irishmen.

A lifetime member of St. Rocco's Society and W.H. Mase Hook & Ladder, Kevin was also a member of Knights of Columbus 445 Council and a social member of Lewis Tompkins Hose.

Born on January 29, 1951, Kevin was the son of Michael T. McElduff and the late Margaret (Peggy) Coughlin McElduff. In addition Kevin was predeceased by Anne (Aunt Shorty) Coughlin McElduff, his stepmother.
