Hyde Park - Patricia Rose Leveque, 69, a long time area resident, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie.
Born March 2, 1943 in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Breen Marmion.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's Girls School, Mullaghbawn, County Armagh.
Pat was born in Ireland, moved to New York in 1960, and became a very proud American Citizen on October 3, 1997. She loved her family, cooking, baking, and all her family's pets. Taking care of the world was her favorite past time. The best part of her world was her grandchildren and husband of 46 years. She was a courageous "Cancer Survivor".
With her husband, Jerry, she was the co-owner of Memories Photo Lab in Hyde Park, retiring in August 2001.
On Saturday, September 24, 1966 in Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, she married Gerald D. Leveque. Mr. Leveque survives at home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Gerald D. Leveque Jr. and wife, Janeene, of Poughkeepsie, and Stephen E. Leveque and wife, Laura, of Staatsburg; sister, Mary Markett and husband, John, of Poughkeepsie; brother, Gerry Marmion of California; four beloved grandchildren, David, Dylan, Luke, & Leah Leveque; brother-in-law, Richard Leveque and wife, Louise, of NJ; brother-in-law, Charles Leveque and wife, Jane, of MI; several nieces and nephews; and her dearly loved pets, Snuggles and Katie.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Lenny Leveque; her cousin, Marist Bro. Stephen Urban; and many loved ones.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 pm, Friday, January 4th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte 9, Hyde Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Saturday, January 5th at Regina Coeli Church, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
Burial will follow in the family plot at. St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
