PUEBLO, CO - Patricia H. Spahr, 86, passed away from pancreatic cancer on March 5, 2013 in Pueblo, Colorado.
Before retiring to Pueblo, Colorado in 1989, Pat had been the Administrative Secretary of the American Culture Department at Vassar College, an active member of the Unitarian Church in Poughkeepsie and volunteer with the Mid-Hudson Memorial Society. In Pueblo she was actively involved and a leader at her Unitarian church, Coalition for Literacy, League of Women's Voters and the Arts Center. She loved her family, the arts (especially classical music and opera), current affairs, and politics. Her greatest joy was giving to others through her time and her resources which included Peace Corps efforts in Malawi, Africa and assistance to an orphanage in Mexico.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert Spahr. Survived by her daughter Debbie (Tim) Parker of Verona, WI; daughter Cindy Spahr of Albuquerque, New Mexico; granddaughter Becky(Bob) Dillis of Verona, WI; and grandson Greg Parker of Denver, Colorado.
