Poughkeepsie, NY - The death has occurred of Tracy Jacqueline (T. J.) Amolo Ouka of Mbita Constituency, Homa Bay County Kenya on March 25th, 2013. At the time of her death Tracy was living in Poughkeepsie NY and succumbed to complications from diabetes, a condition she has had to contend with since she was thirteen.

Tracy was the loving daughter of the late Frederick Ogweno Ouka and Jane Mary Akinyi Ouka, and older sister to the late Peter Ouka, Lilian Nebiu, John-Mark Ouka & Kristina Ouka. granddaughter to the the late Musa Ogweno and her namesake the late Amolo Ogweno, and the late Mark Ombaka and Rispah Ombaka. She was the loving niece of Nelson Mbaja, John and Margaret Miyengi, Kristina Ayany, George and Caren Gaga, Rose and Shem Olende, Damarris Osome, Wycliffe Ombaka, Mudhune Ombaka and her special Aunt Akoth Ombaka among others. Cousin to Peter Evans Miyengi, Samwel Mbaja, Eudia Akinyi Tranter, Becky Owende, Janet (Jeti) Miyengi, Rebecca, David and Lynn Osome, Selena, Sharon and Junior Olende, Janet (Jeti) Miyengi, Tom Nyawalo, Amandla, Akinyi and James-Mark Ombaka among others.

Tracy was born on July 26th, 1970 in Nairobi Kenya and came to the United States to pursue her ambitions of a better life alongside her family.

At the time of her demise Tracy was getting ready to make another exciting move to join her sister, mother and nephews in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Those who knew Tracy know that she was a people person and could make a friend out of anyone. She will be greatly missed and the family thanks everyone for their support and prayers during this grieving time.

Tracy, may God hold your precious soul in eternal peace and help console our hearts until we undoubtedly meet again. We love you.

Services and visitation will be held Saturday March 30th 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of the funeral home on Vassar St.
