Vincent Blandina Obituary
No. LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Vincent E. Blandina, 75, of No. Las Vegas, died October 10, 2012 in Mountainview Hospital in No. Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 19, 1936 the son of Francesco & Margaret Anderson Blandina. He was a Plumbing Foreman for Pace Plumbing out of the Plumbers Local #1 in New York City. He married Brenda Gapinski on June 30, 1984 in Highland, NY. She survives at home. He enjoyed bowling and once rolled a 299. An avid golfer who possessed a 10 handicap, he scored a hole-in-one. He was a sports fanatic that enjoyed teaching others anything sports connected. He was very passionate about horse racing. His family and friends considered him the #1 handicapper of the races. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Frank & Angie Blandina and a daughter: Linda Fenton both of Oceanside, Long Island. His Step-Sons and their spouses: Paul & Jessica Millius of Rhinneyville, Kentucky and Brian & Lisa Millius of Parachute, Colorado. A Step-Daughter: Kim Ellsworth survives in Hyde Park, NY. There are 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a Daughter: Theresa Romero. Visitation is Monday, October 22, 2012 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son F.H., Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family plot in Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook, NY. Memorial Donations may be made to: Make-A-Wish Foundation, 280 North Bedford Rd., Mt. Kisco, NY 10549.
