George H. Post

Hopewell Junction - Post, George H. of Hopewell Junction entered into rest Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh.

Born November 19, 1926 in Wiccopee, NY, he was the son of the late George and Winona Ortman Post.

George was a retired Technician for Texaco Research Facility, Glenham, NY.

He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Wiccopee Fire Company, a member of and past President of Al Baker Assembly #35 of the Society of American Magicians. George was well known throughout the area for performing over 3000 Magic Shows, as well as being an avid New York Yankees Fan.

Survivors include, his life long companion Geraldine (Gerry) Arquilla, his nieces and nephews, Sal, Sandra, Lori, Michael, Gary, Joseph, Valerie, Vincent, as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Lyons.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Libby Funeral Home, Inc. 55 Teller Ave. Beacon, NY.

Funeral Services will take place Friday, March 14, at 11:00 am at Libby Funeral Home, Inc., Interment will follow in St. Joachim's Cemetery, Beacon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 54, Beacon, NY 12508, or to Al Baker Assembly #35 C/O Craig Kunaschk 22 Spook Hill Rd. Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
