Wappingers Falls - Frank DeSario, 88, an area resident since 1988 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Westchester Medical Center.
Born in Fort Richmond on January 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes Petrizellis DeSario. He proudly served our country in the US Navy and had been employed as a butcher for Morello's Market in Poughquag until his retirement in 2004. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and a member of the Wappinger Seniors.
On September 5, 1948 in the Bronx, Frank married Laura Marziliano who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Joseph DeSario of Wappingers Falls, Stephen DeSario of Poughkeepsie, and Dennis DeSario of Wappingers Falls; his sister, Agnes Novoty; his brother, Daniel DeSario; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route82, Hopewell Junction.
