Highland - Margaret "Dolly" Riti, 78, a resident of Highland NY lost her courageous battle with cancer on May 25, 2014. Margaret was born December 22, 1935 in Yonkers NY and the daughter of late Mary and Michael Riti. She retired from IBM where she worked for 31 years. She is survived by the love of her life "hon" her two daughters Deborah Larusso and Jodie Naccarato, son in laws Sean Larusso and Jason Fanning, four grandchildren Jade Rodelli, Gabrielle Larusso, Mason Larusso and Julian Fanning, sister in law Marie Riti, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by brothers Rocco and Frank Riti, sister in law Nancy Riti and her beautiful niece Marion all from Poughkeepsie, NY.
Dolly treasured spending time with her family between Arizona and New York and mostly enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. Dolly was active with children during her retirement working in the Highland School district for more than 10 years. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Highland NY and dedicated her time to her family and friends always putting others needs before her own. She was a beautiful Angel both inside and out and those who had the privilege of knowing her experienced these wonderful qualities.
Calling hours are Sunday June 1st from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 38 Main St. Highland, NY 12528.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 2nd 10:30am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland.
Burial will be private at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
