Red Hook - Glade S. Keaney, 55, died suddenly at his home in Red Hook on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Glade worked for IBM in East Fishkill for 30 years as an engineer, and, at the time of his death, he was working as an engineer for Global Foundries in Malta, NY.
He loved gardening, fishing, woodworking and his family more than anything.
Born June 17, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of John Vernon Keaney of Semora, NC, and the late Rosalind (Collins) Keaney. Glade married Robin L. Denk on Nov. 25, 1978 in St. Gabriel's Church in Pittsburgh, PA. She survives him at home. They just celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons: Shawn Keaney & his fiancé, Natalya of Ulster Park, NY, Colin Keaney & his wife Adriane of Endicott, NY, Christopher Keaney & his wife Lisa of Cortland, NY, and Kenneth Keaney & his fiancé Nicole of Pittsburgh, PA, two brothers and their wives: Loren (Cathy) Keaney, and Kevin (Gayle) Keaney of Flowery Branch, GA, a granddaughter Nina Rosalind Keaney, and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25th, at Burnett & White Funeral Home, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook. The Rev. Peter J. Kihm will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday & Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
