Muriel E. Hadden

Hyde Park - Muriel E. Hadden, 80, a longtime resident of Hyde Park, died June 24, 2014 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, NY.

Born in Poughkeepsie on November 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Carl G. and Muriel L. Smith. Muriel worked for the General Motors Acceptance Corporation in the auto loans division until her retirement in 1992.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda S. Chocianowski of Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Carl G. Smith Jr. and wife, Ann, of Hyde Park; brother, Robert A. Smith and wife, Janice, of Rhinebeck; brother-in-law, Robert N. Baker, of North Charleston, SC; nephew, Carl G. Smith III and wife, Dorsett, of Madison, MS; nephew, Daniel J. Smith, of Hyde Park; niece, Kimberley A. Trahan and husband, Robert, of Poughkeepsie; niece, Rebekah L. Simmons and husband, Zachary, of Breesport, NY; nephew, James Baker and wife, Erin, of Highland; niece, Heather L. Bragg, of Charleston, SC; nephew, Christopher R. Baker and wife, Janine, of Highland; niece, Amanda M. Baker and wife, Heather, of North Charleston, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank, and a sister, Deborah J. Baker.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours and cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
