Charlotte M. Paroli Obituary
Charlotte M. Paroli

POUGHKEEPSIE - Charlotte M. Paroli, 94, died peacefully at the Thompson House, Rhinebeck, NY, with her son Jack at her side.

Born June 8, 1920 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Albert and Elizabeth Horton Moore, she attended local schools and graduated from Arlington High School. On June 23, 1940, she married John M. Paroli at St. Peter's Church in Poughkeepsie. They were married 48 years until John died in 1988. Most of their lifelong friends would readily admit that they enjoyed a marriage made in heaven. Charlotte and John were totally devoted to each other and loved each other unconditionally. As a result, Charlotte never got over the loss of her "Johnny". Charlotte was a Catholic and lived her life by catholic virtues, including love, helping the less fortunate and always offering forgiveness and compassion to all those in need. She was an outstanding cook, with Italian food a specialty, loved gardening and loved vacationing at the Jersey Shore, especially Manasquan, New Jersey.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Joan Dirricq of Tustin, CA, a son, Jack Paroli of Highland, NY, her sisters Betty Murphy of Highland, NY and Nancy Albertson of Poughkeepsie, NY, a brother Richard Moore and wife Joan, of Poughkeepsie, NY, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and Sister Rosaire Miraglia, order of St. Francis, who gave Charlotte spiritual guidance, comfort and friendship during husband John's illness, and for the next 26 years. In addition to her husband, Charlotte was predeceased by a brother, Albert Moore.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 4 - 8pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY.

Charlotte will be buried beside her beloved "Johnny" in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.

The Family would like to thank the staffs of Livingston Residence and the Activities Department at the Thompson House for their devoted and dedicated care.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlotte's memory to St. Christopher's Inn, Graymoor Monastery, 1320 Rt. 9, Garrison, NY 10524 and Sisters of St. Francis, 6900 Buckley Rd., Syracuse, NY 13212.
