Poughkeepsie - Alvina "Tetse" Mollica, 94, of Poughkeepsie, died peacefully at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center with her family by her side on Friday, August, 15, 2014. Born on May 6, 1920 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Bardson and Bertha (Stephan) Bardson.
On December 27, 1937, she married Anthony Mollica, who predeceased her on August 31, 1982. She was also predeceased by her brother, Harry Bardson, and sister, Thelma Berardi.
Alvina is survived by her son, Anthony Mollica Jr., and his wife, Judith; grandson, Robert Day and his fiancée, April Lombardo; granddaughter, Jennifer Day and her fiancé, Ron Pagila; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved to cook for her extended family and was well known for her meatballs. She also loved to travel and spend time with her dogs, Shena and Ashly.
There are no calling hours.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Graveside services and burial of her ashes will take place at 10 am, Saturday, August 23rd at St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Tpke., Poughkeepsie.
