Rocco F. Surico

Carmel NY - Rocco F. Surico 66 of Carmel died at Putnam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Sauturday June 9, 2012.

Born in Poughkeepsie November 19, 1945, he was the son of Matteo A. and Gloria Liardo Surico.

Rocco was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, was a past member of the Poughkeepsie ELKS BPOE #275 and a member of the Carmel Senior Citizens Club.

Rocco was a Computer Operator at IBM in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1993. Rocco had a love for animal and because of that love, he worked at the SPCA in Carmel New York.

Rocco is survived by his children; Rocco F. Surico Jr. and his wife Ivette of Kissimmee Florida, Edward Surico of Fishkill New York, Eric Surico of Fishkill New York, three grandchildren, Kayla, Nicholas and Christopher. Rocco is also survived by his step mother, Catherine White of Poughkeepsie, brother Matteo A. Surico Jr. of Poughkeepsie, brother and sister in-law Wayne J. and Kathleen Surico of Poughkeepsie, brother Mark C. Surico of Poughkeepsie, sister and brother in-law Sally Ann and Michael McGlade of Kingston and brother and sister in-law Allen B. and Victoria Surico of Hillsboro Oregon. He has several nieces and nephews who survive. Rocco was predeceased by a daughter Sherri Surico and a brother William J. Surico.

Calling hour will be held, Monday June 11, 2012 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie New York , from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 am in the Funeral Home, with Burial to follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
