HIGHLAND - Pasquale A. Valentino 83, a lifelong resident of Highland passed away at his home on November 8, 2012.

Mr. Valentino worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie for many years up until his retirement.

Pat was a Life Member of the Highland Hose Company #1 and was a member of the American Legion Post 193 in Highland. He was a United Stated Marine Corps Veteran and Navy Veteran. He was honorably discharged.

Mr. Valentino was born in Highland, NY on November 24, 1928. He was the son of John A. and Jennie Hewitt Valentino.

On April 9, 1950 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Highland he married Loretta Relyea. Mrs. Valentino survives at home. Additonal survivors include his children; John of Highland, Mark of Florida, and Chrissy Dalton of Highland, his brothers; Joe, John and Bob all of Highland, his sisters; Rose of Modena, Kay of Hyde Park, Mary Jane of Modena, six grandchildren four great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday November 12th from 4-8 pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair entrance is located in the rear of funeral home on Vassar St. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday November 13th 12:00 noon at the funeral home. With honors, the Highland Hose Company #1 will lead Pat's funeral procession to the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. The American Legion and VFW will hold military honors.
