Robustelli
Dover Plains, NY - Sebastian Robustelli, 88, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Robustelli was a mason for Con Edison in New York City for 25 years retiring in 1986.
Born on August 28, 1924 in Sarno, Italy he was the son of the late Pompei and Adelina (Pelusso) Robustelli. On July 17, 1949 in Italy he married Antonia Amato who survives at home. Mr. Robustelli was an avid gardener and enjoyed making his own wine.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Anthony Robustelli and his wife, Victoria of Wassaic, NY and Gino Robustelli and his wife, Tina of Millerton, NY; two daughters, Adeline Robustelli of Dover Plains, NY and Ann Marie Robustelli of Amenia, NY; a sister, Millie Rubino of Pawling, NY, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Hufcut Funeral Home; 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 83 Mill St. Dover Plains, NY with Rev. Anthony Giuliano officiating. Entombment will follow at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY. Saying ggodbye to someone as kind and loving as this man is never easy. He was all about his family and hard work and dedication. I will always treasure the stories he told of being a boy in Italy, and coming here to make a better life. He was the most sincere man I've ever met. He always greeted me with a " Happy Birthday" even though it wasn't, and I would wish him the same. Our thoughts and prayers to the entire family during this difficult time.
