Donald J. Mullins

Yonkers - Donald J. Mullins, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 82.

Son of the late James and Elsie Renault Mullins, he was born in Yonkers on July 28, 1930. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Donald received his Honorable Discharge in 1960.

He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers, where he and his wife sang in the Church Choir. He was also a member of the American Legion Charles J. Bajart, Jr. Post 1122.

On October 21, 1955, he married Joan M. Mullins. He was predeceased in death by his wife on October 4, 2012. He was also predeceased by his parents and his brother James Mullins.

Donald is survived by his son, Donald J. Mullins (Ana) of Wappingers Falls; his son, James A. Mullins of Yonkers; his son, Robert Mullins (Patricia) of Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Joan M. Mullins of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Jayke, Robert, Daniel & Bethany Mullins; and many other loving relatives & friends.

Calling hours will be from 9am to 11:30am on Tuesday, January 22 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12pm Tuesday at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, where the U.S. Navy will conduct Military Honors.
