Clinton - Gerald J. (aka: PeePop) Holder, 75, a longtime resident of Clinton Corners, passed away on Friday, April 19th, 2013 at his home.
Born on February 21, 1938, in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Kasmyer) Holder.
Gerald married Dorothy Romanchik on July 20, 1958 in Yonkers, NY and his loving wife of 54 years survives at home.
For over 30 years, and until his retirement, Gerald worked as a mechanic for the United States Postal Service in Poughkeepsie. He also worked for the postal service in Newburgh and Yonkers.
Gerald enjoyed baseball and loved listening to radio station 98.9 FM. He also was an avid collector of Hess Trucks.
In addition to his beloved wife Dorothy, he is survived by a daughter: Deborah Venezia and her husband Anthony of Kingston, a son; Edward Holder of Clinton, and his three granddaughters; Alana Venezia of Rhinebeck, and Alexa Venezia, and Toni Venezia both of Kingston.
As per Gerald's wishes, funeral services, cremation and inurnment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
