Henry Rosell Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Henry J."Skip" Rosell, Sr., 69, a longtime local resident, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Poughkeepsie on January 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Edward and Bernice Shibilo Rosell.
Skip was a General Contractor for many years.
He was a former member of the Hyde Park Elks Club.
Skip was an avid bowler and member of the DPCBA Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his five children, Henry J. "Skip" Rosell Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Salt Point, Paula Rosell Ryan of Chatham, Dina Borchsenius of Poughkeepsie, Joy Iapichino of Poughkeepsie, and Dana Andrews of Poughkeepsie; brothers, Edward C. (Pete) Rosell of Virginia, Robert Rosell of North Carolina, and Paul Rosell of Kansas; sister, Patricia Rosell of Kansas; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his longtime companion Joyce A. Murphy on October 18, 2010 and his sister Joanne Nater.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 pm, Friday, July 12, 2013, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte 9, Hyde Park.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
The family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice Foundation, Inc., Memorial Gift Program, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
