Herbert Stenger Obituary
CITRUS SPRINGS, FL - Herbert C. Stenger, 85 of Citrus Springs, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. He was born on Tuesday, December 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to Harry and Irene (O'Toole) Stenger. Herbert was a retired developer in the construction industry and an entrepreneur. He was a founding member of We Care Food Pantry in Homosassa and will be remembered for his caring heart and passion for giving to those in need.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Stenger of Citrus Springs, Florida; sons, David Stenger of Fishkill, New York and Kenneth Stenger and wife Sharon of Fishkill, New York; sister, Irene Zarkoff of Brooklyn, New York and grandchildren, Cameron Stenger of Fishkill, New York and Jillian Kelly and husband Steven of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Memorial contributions may be made to We Care Food Pantry, P.O. Box 331, Homosassa, Florida 34487.
Memorial Mass of Remembrance, Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Inurnment, private at Fero Memorial Gardens.

Herb was a great friend when I needed help and guidance his ability to get people to work together whether in business or for the common good was his forte something people are missing in to days world he will be missed.

We both loved Herb. He was a kind, generous, compassionate example of what it means to live life well. He loved his wife with a passion, as he did life. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to have known him.
