Lagrange - Charles F. Whiteley, age 86, of Lagrange, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Charles was born August 12, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Nicholas and the late Emily (Kirchner) Whiteley. He married Joan H. Valent on June 29, 1952 at Holy Trinity Church Poughkeepsie, New York.

Charlie served in the Navy during World War II, and The Korean war. He retired from Central Hudson G&E after 40 years of service.

Charlie was life member of K of C Council #304. He loved to golf, bowl and loved to spend time in his yard.

He is survived by : wife Joan; daughter and son In-law, Debbie and Larry Scardaci of Hyde Park, NY; son and daughter In-law, Thomas and Nancy Whiteley of Annapolis, MD; son and daughter In-law, Patrick and Laurie Whiteley of Pleasant Valley, NY; son and daughter In-law, James and Karen Whiteley of New Egypt, NJ; son and daughter In-law, Timothy and Susan Whiteley of Hyde Park, NY; eleven grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Charlie, Samantha, Nicole, Daniel, Brian, Jay, Maxine, Zachary, Josie ; four great grandchildren Jake, Gracie, Madyn, Bradley, and brother William. Charlie was predeceased by two brothers Eugene and Michael and his sister Claire.

The Whiteley family would like to thank "Charlie's Angels" the nurses and aides on 2 North and 1 South at the Lutheran Care Center for all the love, help, and support during this difficult time.

Calling hours will take place Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Holy Trinity

Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow the service in The Calvary

Cemetery, Poughkeepsie New York..
