David Reed Obituary
Poughkeepsie - The precious life of King David Antoine Tereal Reed III was ended too soon on September 9, 2014. He departed this life at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. David was born on June 6, 1991 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was the son of David A. Reed and Felicia A. Petteway.
David received his education in the City Poughkeepsie School District and was currently employed as a sales clerk at Poughkeepsie Mini Mall. Boo, who we all knew him as was an out going person who made all who knew him laugh. Boo always loved to have fun and keep all the children around him happy. He will be remembered for his everlasting and happy spirit, filled with laughter that will live threw his beautiful babies.
Left to cherish his precious and fond memories are his 5 children whom he loved so much. 3 daughters, Dah'lasia, My'Shyne, and Dah'Va Reed; 2 sons, Ur'Hynace and Ur'Majesty Reed all of Poughkeepsie, NY. Also surviving him is his mother, Felicia Petteway of Poughkeepsie, NY; 3 sisters, Lacole, Shacola, and Nykia Reed all of Poughkeepsie, NY; 3 brothers, Danzel Lindesy of Fayetteville, NC, Corey (Ivory) and Ja'vion Reed both of Poughkeepsie NY; maternal grandmother, Velma Petteway of Poughkeepsie, N.Y, paternal grandmother, Venessa Bugg-Reed of Beacon, NY; grandfather, Raymond E. Warren of Poughkeepsie, NY, maternal great-grandmother, Lucile Petteway of Poughkeepsie, NY; 2 uncles, Corey Petteway of Poughkeepsie, NY and Raymond E. Warren Jr. of Fishkill, NY; 2 aunts, Alania Warren of Atlanta GA and Tara Derello of Florida. His loving companion, Tanaya Elting of Poughkeepsie; A special mother threw love, Sheryl Big Oop Johnson along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
David is predeceased by his 3 daughters, My'Star, My'Angel, and My'Love Reed and grandfather, David Daniel Reed.
Mr. Reed will lay in repose 10-11 am Wednesday, September 17 at Beulah Baptist Church, 92 Catharine St, Poughkeepsie, NY. Services 11 am at the church. Rev. Jesse V. Bottoms Jr. Officiating. Interment at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. Professional services entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Homes 43 Fairview Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. "Committed To Being The Very Best".
