Poughkeepsie, NY - John G. Falconi, 66, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home on Wednesday July 5th. John was born May 2, 1951 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of John P. Falconi and Felicia Calenti. He was a laborer for Local 1000 out of Poughkeepsie.
John was a true American at heart and loved his country, always showing his pride through the American eagle and utmost respect for all the veterans. He was a man that valued his faith and family and showed an unconditional love for both. John was an easy going free spirit and loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother Felicia, his loving wife of 34 years Mary Falconi at home, his children Falyn Falconi, Jason Bilyou(Sarah), Jeanine Villano(Mike), two sisters: Felicia D. Theysohn, Markie Pottenburgh, along with 6 Grandchildren: Analyn, Jase, Josie, Ashleigh, Emilee and Cyhlee, his Aunt Ro Martell, two nieces: Bailey(also Johns Goddaughter) and Jaydin and two nephews; Thomas and John. He was predeceased by his father, and sister Montelle M. Falconi.
Calling hours will take place Friday, July 7th from 4pm-7pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair and street level parking located in the rear of the funeral home off Vassar Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 8th 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. My memories go back to early teens. Everyone was welcome at the house on Taylor Ave. He had a Dauschand named Stretch. Every time I would come up the street that dog would bark and run after me!
I am sorry he has passed. I hope you and your family will find peace.
