Clarence, Iowa
Gerald "Jerry" Keith Waters, of Clarence and formerly of West Branch passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his home.
A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation will be held 9 to 11 A.M. Friday before the service. Inurnment will be in the Downey Cemetery. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established.
Gerald was born December 24, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Leslie and Lucille Wilcox Waters. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the Class of 1958. On October 1, 1966 he was united in marriage to Darlene Stahmer in Iowa City. Jerry had been employed with Sheller Globe in Iowa City and later the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He enjoyed being a hobby farmer, tinkering and working around the farm and riding Harley's.
He is survived by two sons: Mike and his significant other Colleen of Clarence and Brian (Camela) of Red Wing, MN; two grandchildren Sydney and Travis; four brothers: Chuck (Corrine) Waters of Iowa City, Ray (Carol) Waters living in Ohio, Ken (Deb) Waters of Iowa City and Donnie (Heidi) Waters of Des Moines. three brothers in law, Harlan Stahmer and Lavern (Jude) Stahmer of Iowa City, Melvin (Kathy) Stahmer of Coralville, and sister in law, Eileen Meyers (Jim) of Maquoketa, Iowa and several nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene, infant son, Gerald Leslie, and son Travis Jerome and a brother Ronnie.
