Bob & I were talking about Meg & all of your a few weeks ago, remembering those years in Berkshire, meals shared with you, good times. I think you inspired Dale to try shrimp which became a favorite of his in later years, All is good in warmer than usual AZ but I have no complaints. Thanks for some good memories of years past & of course prayers for you as you grieve,

Betsy, Meg & family:
We are truly in shock this morning to learn of Hal's death. There are no words to express the overwhelming sorrow I personally feel this morning. Hal was a wonderful man & a true servant. As a family we knew Hal & Betsy as children when we served in the choir with them at St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Owego, New York.
Many years later I was personally blessed by the kindness of Hal & Betsy as they were integral to my graduation from my internship at United Health Services. Without their overwhelming assistance, I wouldn't have been able to graduate & been successful at my career.
Hal was a true servant. Even when he didn't think he was serving he continued to serve by providing a recipe that is still used in the family to this day even by an Executive Chef!
The loss of Hal to me is overwhelming and I will never be able to understand how Betsy feels. Betsy, you and the family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Personally, I will always be in debt to you and I'm always available if you need me.

Betsy, Am saddened to hear of Hal's passing. He will be missed by so many, but welcomed by the angels, without a doubt - especially those with a great sense of dry humor. I will always remember Wedesdays (hair cut day) he would come by the church for donuts and coffee with Diane - I'd say "How are you, Hal?" and he'd say "Awful!" - But I would see the twinkle in his eye, and I knew he was just terrific. His happy glow shines in my heart. God Bless you and be with you, Betsy, until you meet again. Shalom, Connie

Dear Betsy and family,
Our deepest sympathies go out to you in your loss of such a talented and committed man from our midst. Hal was a great example of an 'upright' man, one who acted his faith in all he did with a combination of commitment, dignity and more than a bit of humor. We're all better people for having known and been able to share his time and talents with him on this earth. May his strength continue to light your way forward even as we miss him.

Meg,
So sorry to learn of Hal's death. Jim Harvey (an IBM friend of Dale's) sent me the obit. I had no idea Hal was so musically involved or so active in his church. I recall some times shared in our homes all those years ago. Dale died almost 5 years ago so I somewhat understand your grief just now. Prayers are coming your way.
