Davis, Janice Wackford Janice Wackford Davis, 76 of Norwich passed away peacefully at her home on May 26, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1938 in Oxford a daughter of the late Kenneth and Naomi (Gifford) Wackford. On September 27, 1956 at the US Navy Submarine Base Chapel in Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii she married Malvin W. Davis. She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Malvin W. Davis of Norwich; her children, Kimberlie Ballew of Oklahoma City, OK and Gregory Davis of Norwich; her brothers and sisters in law, Bruce and Louise Wackford of Oxford, Loren and Linda Wackford of Arbutus, MD, and David and Sandy Wackford of Graettinger, IA; her sisters and brothers in law, Carolyn and Clarence Colvin of Lexington Park, MD and Sharon and Jon Robinson of Billings, MT; and her grandson, Christopher Ballew of Oklahoma City, OK. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Wackford and Dale Wackford. Jan was the Manager of the Blueox Convenience Store in Oxford for over 10 years. She was a member of the Oxford Garden Club, the Oxford Lionettes, where she was treasurer for many years and the Eastside Literary Club. She served the Town of Oxford as a member of the Planning Board and 16 years as Town Justice. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. She enjoyed many summers at Lake Steere. She loved her cats, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She attended morning coffee at Mr. Chubb's in Oxford for many years. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chenango County SPCA, 6160 County Road 32, Norwich, NY or Hospice of Chenango County, 21 Hayes St., Norwich, NY. Dowling, Donna M.  
Dowling, Donna M. Donna Marie Dowling, 69, of Binghamton passed away with her family by her side on May 25, 2015. She is predeceased by her parents Dominic and Katherine (Rogers) Scarchilli; son Bryan Dowling and Aunt Mary Rogers. She is survived by her husband Frederick R. Dowling Sr.; sons Frederick R. Dowling Jr. (wife Kristen), Erick M. Dowling Sr. (wife Rachael); grandchildren Dominic (11), Sara (8), and Erick M. Dowling Jr. (21) and Erick Jr's mother Dannielle Weiler; and many numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was a classical pianist who began her studies at the age of five under Don Grey (Graduate-Juilliard School of Music) and continued her studies through her adult life under Walter Ponce (International Concert Pianist). Donna owned and operated "Donna Dowling's Piano Conservatory"; she taught students beginning at the age of five on thru to adulthood including adult to senior students. Donna was loved and adored by her students not only for her style of teaching but for her genuine care and affection for both the students professional as well as their personal lives. Donna was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, family member, friend, animal lover and teacher to all that entered into her life. Donna accepted everyone into her heart and home and when you entered her home you could always look forward to fun, laughter, great food and wine. She now joins her son Bryan into heaven and will be truly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th from 4 until 7p.m. at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 9:30a.m. at SS John and Andrew Church in Binghamton; Fr. Gerald Buckley officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Albert J. DeMarco.

de Bourg, Dr. Clyde Emerson  
de Bourg, Dr. Clyde Emerson Our beloved Dr. Clyde Emerson de Bourg of Binghamton, NY passed away on May 24, 2015 after a long valiant battle with illness. He was born in Tabaquite, Trinidad and Tobago May 13, 1931. He was a gentlemen, scholar, educator, musician and artist. He is predeceased by his parents, Olga and Rufus de Bourg, siblings Bernice, Horace, and Gem Porter. He will be greatly miss but never forgotten by his beloved wife, Sarah Verne Edwards de Bourg, his children William F. King (Marina), Kristina King (Michael) and Pamela de Bourg-Bingert (Antonio); grandchildren, Ayanna and Phillip King, Kadeem and Jalen Hemphill, Eleazar Penn, and Enoch Bingert; siblings Merlin Callender (Edward), Betty Ottley (Remy), and Carlisle de Bourg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dr. de Bourg earned a Ph. D in Education from Michigan State University. The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Community Church located at 911 East Main St., Endicott.
