Tuthill, Bernadine Endwell: Bernadine (Battaglini) Tuthill, 68, of Endwell, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Saturday, February 28, 2015. She is predeceased by her parents, Armond and Josephine Battaglini; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Filomena Battaglini; and maternal grandparents, Mariano and Agatha Anelli. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard; three daughters, Amy (Wesley) Kreitz, Bethany (Daniel) Bunts and Megan Tuthill; grandchildren, Wesley, Wilson, Evan, Tyshaun and Iyana; brother, Michael (Julie) Battaglini; sister, Eileen (Rick) Buckingham; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and special friends, especially Lucy Caciola. Bernadine was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott, retired employee of Singer Link and former employee of Datrose and CASA. Some of her many enjoyments in life were cooking for family and friends at family gatherings, her grandchildren, the loves of her life and summers at the beach. Her family would like to thank the staffs of Lourdes Hospice, especially Mary Consentino, Home Instead Senior Care, especially Cecila, Yesteryears, Golden Days, Wood Elder Care and Doctor MiKloecicn. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.

Tartamella, Giovanni (John) Endicott: John (Ido) Tartamella, 78, of Endicott passed away Saturday February 21, 2015 in Orland, FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Tartamella; his son, Mario Tartamella; and his sister, Maria Curatolo. He is survived by his children, Anna & Bill Patrick, TN; Maria & David Buchanan, Endicott, John & Donna Tartamella, Vestal, Patricia Tartamella, FL; his grandchildren, Heather, Gabriel, Alicia, Janice, Amber, Dylan, Emily, Zachary and Adam; his great grandchildren, Samantha and Aiden; his cat, Henry; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church Endicott, a well-known plaster mason working throughout the Triple Cities, an avid Cleveland Browns football fan, golfer, bowler, horse racing and soccer enthusiast. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott and at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home Friday from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy in memory of Mr. Tartamella may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 3600 Phyllis St., Endwell, NY 13760.

Tomecek, William R.  
Tomecek, William R. William R. Tomecek peacefully passed away, in Myrtle Beach SC, surrounded by his family on February 20, 2015. He will be forever remembered as the life of the party whose smile lit up a room. He was born on June 9, 1941 in Johnson City, NY to Gabriel and Elizabeth (Gajda) Tomecek. He graduated from Iowa State and worked for L3 Communications in Kirkwood, NY for over 40 years in Program Management until retirement when he was really able to enjoy his love of golf, fishing and hunting. He was predeceased by his parents, and sister Josephine (John) Korinek. He is survived by his wife, Bonita, nee Wallace, daughters Sabra (Michael) Martocci and Tamara (John) Alves, his grandsons, Griffin, Gradyn, Julien and Jake who he tirelessly taught how to bait hooks, his brother Milton Tomecek, several nephews, a niece, cousins and his beloved dog, Maggie, his hunting and fishing companion. William was past president of the Czechoslovak Moravian Club. Family will receive friends on Thursday at J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. with the Czechoslovak Moravian Club meeting at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Binghamton with burial in the spring at Slovak Catholic Cemetery. Taft, Marion H. Marion H. Taft, 102, of Greene, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2014. She was born on September 12, 1912. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford in 1987; daughter, Virginia; brothers, Paul and Glenn Gross; and by sister, Leah Moorhead. Marion is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Pat Taft; grandchildren, Raymond Holdrege Jr. and wife, Patrice, Richard Taft and wife, Debra, Darlene Holdrege Noyes and husband, Dale, Sandra Taft Utter and husband, Mark, and Nicole Holdrege Rizzardi Bombolevicz and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Richard A. Taft and wife, Tina, Brian Taft and wife, Kylie, Mark Holdrege and wife, Tanya, Steven Noyes, Carolyn Holdrege Pipher and husband, Adam, Matthew Noyes, Ryan and Zachary Utter, Daniel Rizzardi; great-great-grandchildren, Angelina Holdrege, Jordan, Tyler, Ryley, Benjamin and Landon Taft; son-in-law, Raymond Holdrege Sr.; "special sister," Jeanette Courtright; and many nieces and nephews. Marion loved raising her family and enjoyed working on the family farm. She liked cooking, baking, sewing, playing piano and watching bluebirds. An extra special thank you to the Everling Adult Care Home for their wonderful loving care of Marion for nearly three years.
