Vollrath, Edmund  
Vollrath, Edmund of Johnson City, 60, died peacefully after a long illness. He was predeceased by his great grandmother Avis M. Rohne; grandparents Florence and Carl Vollrath, Thomas and Ivy Fox; aunt Avis Nickse. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Susan (Wiegand) Vollrath; parents George and M. Joyce Vollrath; daughter Sarah and Matthew Cleary; son Andrew Vollrath and Elise Thornley; sister Eleanor and Peter Dutko; God mother Jennifer Amey England; God daughter Katherine Elizondo; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Ed worked at Anitec Imaging Corp. for 16 years and then NCI. Edmund was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. He was a good, reliable man who was the rock of the family. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed by all. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Manish Mehta at the Albany Medical Center, Dr. Edward Santelli at UHS, and all the doctors and nurses at the Wilson Hospital ICU. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00am at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City with Rev. John R. Martinichio officiating. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed's memory to the Center for Vascular Awareness, 16 Computer Drive West, Suite 103, Albany, NY 12205.

Van Dusen, Sylvia Kay Sylvia Kay Van Dusen, age 77 of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away Friday April 17, 2015 in Melbourne, FL after an extended illness. Born February 28 1938 in Owego NY. Sylvia was married to Rodney L Van Dusen April 7, 1956. She attended Newark Valley Central School. Sylvia was employed by IBM for 22 years. She loved all animals with a passion for birds. She was predeceased by her parents Isabelle Morris Patterson and Robert Patterson and one sister Sally Patterson Truesdail. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rodney Van Dusen Sr.; three children, Sandra Van Dusen, Lisa Van Dusen Mathers and her husband David Mathers, Rodney Van Dusen Jr and his wife Wendy Muzek Van Dusen; two grandchildren, Jennifer Mathers Ward and Robert Mathers; three great grandchildren, Piper Whitney, Jack Mathers, Jameson Ward; and one nephew, Anthony Patterson. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to H.A.L.O Animal No-Kill Rescue Shelter of Sabestian, FL in her name.
